First Aid

sick child thumb in mouth

The important thing to remember about First Aid is that it is exactly that “First Aid”. Your role is to be the first point of contact and your main aim is to preserve someone’s life, without putting yourself or anyone else at risk, until medical help arrives.

We have covered some of the basics of First Aid in the following information. This information is useful as a guide in an emergency. However, we strongly recommend you participate in a St John’s Ambulance First Aid Course and invest in their book “First Aid for Children” which covers many more topics and in more depth than we can include here.

If you are ever in any doubt about your child’s health, seek medical assistance immediately.
