Mums & Bubs - A New Parenting Lifestyle Programme to Premiere on The Seven NetworkMedia Release
18th April, 2007 Mums & Bubs, to be hosted by popular media personality, journalist and mother of two, Rachel Friend, will air on The Seven Network from April 30th on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at 9.30am.
Host, Rachel says, “This programme will be greatly welcomed by mums. Parenting today is quite different compared to a generation ago. New research, broader thinking and a significant shift in our lifestyle, particularly for women, means that there’s a lot to talk about”.
Mums & Bubs is designed to help pregnant women and parents navigate through the maze of challenges and opportunities associated with parenting today. It also comes along at a time when Australia is enjoying a mini baby boom - with the fertility rate among women aged between 30 and 34 at its highest since 1964*. Rachel added, “Mums & Bubs is a bit like being part of a mother’s group where our guests come together to talk about their children, the issues that matter to them, what they’ve experienced and any tips they’ve discovered along the way. Our guests include celebrities, childcare experts and regular mums and dads”.
Mums & Bubs will feature a new line-up of entertaining and informative guests each week including celebrity parents Gina Jeffreys, Alyssa-Jane Cook; Sophie Faulkner; Lochie Daddo; Chantelle Newbery; Dr Katrina Warren; Monica Trapaga, and others who help tackle some hot topics including childcare; going back to work; relationships; sex; toddler tantrums & feeding fussy eaters.
Following each episode mums are invited to chat online to one of the guests via the Huggies® website at huggies.com.au. Segments are also available for mums to view on-line.
The programme was pitched to The Seven Network on behalf of Huggies® by Michael Dawes, managing director of MindShare Performance, and developed by Crows Nest Productions and MindShare Performance.
