Lots of parents love the idea of their beautiful baby doing some modelling, acting, or TV. It looks like fun, and the extra dollars earned through baby talent agencies can be a big help for the family budget or even put aside for your little star’s education. However, not all baby talent agencies are created equal. And only a very few children have both the temperament and the talent for professional performance. If you are interested in your baby being signed up as baby talent, contact some reputable agencies and get their opinion on your little one’s potential.
A word of warning, however: some so-called baby talent agencies make most of their money not from modelling or appearance fees but from charging hopeful parents a big fee for photographing their little one and/or preparing junior’s ‘portfolio’. Be very wary of the sales pitch you’ll get from these types of agencies. Reputable agents aren’t in the business of creating expensive folios.
When dealing with agencies, ask questions such as who their main clients are and what are the agent’s fees and commissions. Some baby talent agencies may charge a small registration fee.
