Huggies® is committed to providing the best care for babies, whilst reducing our impact on the environment. As part of this, we consider sustainability in every decision we make about our products, including our manufacturing practices. Put simply, we got you, baby. And your planet.
We’re committed to sourcing and innovating more sustainable solutions for the raw materials and ingredients that comprise our Huggies Products, whilst ensuring our high quality and safety standards aren’t compromised.
This includes using certified sources of biodegradable materials, like the wood-fibre used in our nappy and baby wipes products and the plant-derived liner wrap featured in our Huggies Ultimate Pure Care Nappy Range.
In addition, all our nappy and baby wipes products are made with gentle ingredients and no added nasties.
At present, all Huggies paper-based packaging is made from over 70% recycled content and is recyclable via local kerbside collections.
Our plastic packaging (nappy and nappy pants) is made from 15-30% recycled content, with targets to increase the volume of recycled content in the near future.
We’re also founding members of a new national packaging recycling scheme, which aims to bring soft plastic collection kerbside.
We’ve been busy turning nappies into nutrient-rich compost, in a world-first recycling pilot in South Australia. You can learn more about The Nappy Loop program here.
We’re proud of the progress we’re making. Together, let’s help create a more sustainable future, for the little ones of today.
For every milestone, big or small. We got you, baby.
